Annual 4th of July Bike Ride to Gettysburg and After Picnic!

Description: Join your cycling friends for a loosely organized ride to Gettysburg!🚵 Ride is about 64 miles with 3,400 feet of climbing. No mountains, but a few hills along the way. This is a self-supported ride. Please be prepared to address mechanical issues and bring/buy water/ride snacks. 💦There are convenience stores in Emmitsburg and Gettysburg for re-supply, some of which are marked on the RWGPS route. There is no sag, so bring a friend’s phone number in case you get into trouble😏. All paces welcome! We do not all stay together, as we usually have a big group with varied paces.
Bring food/drink for the after picnic. 🍔 It is always fun to debrief about the ride and catch up with one another. Family and pets welcome at the after picnic. We have the shelter until 5 p.m. and we have an alcohol permit. I will bring supplies to get the grill going, as well as condiments, paper products, and water. The shelter has a grill and access to water and port-a-pots.
