The December 9 Monocacy Middle Sunday Ride was cold (felt colder than the 32 degrees predicted)!!! I put on wool socks, warming pads in my shoes and neoprene booties on top and my feet still got cold. When Vicki and I got to Monocacy Middle School, my hands were cold.
Eleven folks started out for what turned out to be a lovely day weather-wise with the roads not as water covered as expected.
Dollar and the Dudes headed out Sunday hoping for a little sun and warmer temperatures, but all we got were cloudy skies and no temperature increase.
Today’s chilly ride was attended by Vicki Crum, Kathy Dollar, Paul Ericson, Andrew Flint, Jeff Johnson, Patrick McKinney, Allen Mitchell, Phil Platt, Arnie Glimm and myself. We left Monocacy Middle slightly after 11:30 AM. Ray Gable joined us later down the road.
Nine rode together under cloudy skies for a lunch in Woodsboro. Arnie arrived with a snazzi new Bianchi e-bike. At ride’s end, Dianna and Lee delivered the Paul Lentz memorial bench, plaque, and bike rack to park personnel for placement.
