Today nine of us left Monocacy Middle School at 11:30 am: Vicki Crum, Paul Ericson, Andrew Flint, Ray Gable, Arni Glim, Jeff Johnson, Allen Mitchell, Lee Rabideau and myself.
Through the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Grow Against Poverty, a school bicycle transportation program at St. Mary’s School in Nambale, Kenya has been started. Fifteen students whose families subsist on less than $1 a day are borrowing bicycles.
The weather forecasters’ promises of temperatures into the 60’s may have been realized, but not until our ride was over.
On Sunday, February 17, six of us left Monocacy Middle School at 11:30 am: New rider, Andrew Wood, Vick Crum, Kathy Dollar, Ray Gable, Lynne Hewitt and myself.
