On Sunday, March 15, nine of us left Monocacy Middle School at 11:30 AM: Victoria Arhaud, Vicki Crum, Kathy Dollar, Judy Goffi, Michael Levengood, Patrick McKinney, Allen Mitchell, Phil Platt and myself. Ray Gable joined us a few minute later.
It was a beautiful ride with lots of daffodils and forsythias in bloom. The Mountaindale Store lost electricity a little while before we got there. We could still purchase things with exact change. Apparently, it was a surrounding area thing, as a few of the area residents who had lost electricity came to see if the store had it or not. We saw a Potomac Edison truck go down the road, so hopefully it did not last too long for the area. We got in 19 miles together. Biking seems to be a great exercise during this time of “social distancing” due to the virus. Thanks to everybody who came out.
