Yesterday’s Bennie Duncan Ride was a lot of fun. Twelve of us rode: Mark Blau, Vicki Crum, Kathy Dollar, Cathy Flanagan, Andrew Flint, Judy Goffi, Lee Rabideau, Louanne Welgoss, Patrick McKinney, David Murphy, Phil Platt and myself. We did an out and back on Bennie Duncan Rode, so we got to enjoy this beautiful country road twice. Then we went up Hoffman-Seachrist Road, a gentle incline, which kept us off the busy hard uphill of Route 550 (Woodsboro Road). The 31 mile ride took us on several hills. It was a pleasant day, although a little chillier than we are used to. It definitely felt like a fall day. Several of us wore long pants and jackets, while there were those who wanted to hold onto summer by wearing shorts and short sleeve shirts. After our rest stop at High’s, we went up Gravel Hill Road and then enjoyed the wonderful downhill, making our way eventually back to the start.
