Today eleven of us left Monocacy Middle School about 11:35 AM: Dafna R. (from Gettysburg), Diane Shur, Ron Bromley, Brian Clinesmith, Vicki Crum, Ray Gable, Judy Goffi, Ian Hewitt, Phil Platt, Charles Keplar and myself. Diane turned back early on in the ride due to the wind. Vicki turned back as planned at the church at about 4 miles. The rest of us went on. We passed the Mountaindale Convenience Store deciding to check out their new store. We turned right on Bethel, left on Fish Hatchery and right on Putman. After going up the hill on Putman, we enjoyed the big downhill. We checked out the new store. I got to speak with Julian, the owner. After leaving the store, we turned right onto the shoulder of Route 15, going the short distance from Putman to Fish Hatchery Road. We then made a left on Bethel, returning by Ford and then O’Possumtown Roads.
It was an interesting, little bit different ride. Off and on we came against a wind gust, but most of the time, the weather was great…I mean how great is it to have a Sunday that has no rain and not in the 20 or 30’s? As a group, we got in 20 miles.
Thanks for everyone who came out. It was great fun
