Steve Blagg has mapped the ride on “Ride with GPS” and has prepared a cue sheet and at TCX file for loading into your Garmin; https://ridewithgps.com/routes/25673764.
Send me an email (email@example.com) if you will be joining us. If anyone gets lost driving to the starting point give me or Glenn a call. I’ll be driving to Glenn’s house and then down to the starting point.

Several years ago the Frederick Pedalers adopted Bethel Road between Mountaindale Road and O’Possumtown Pike. Two or three times a year members of the Frederick Pedalers gather at the church parking lot at Bethel Road and O’Possumtown Pike and walk to Mountaindale Road while picking up trash. Trash bags and bright vests are provided to those who come out. The bags are left at a spot where the county comes and picks them up. Lee Rabideau is looking for lots of help!
A short ride will follow the clean up!
The Wednesday night Utica rides come to an end tomorrow night, September 27, but we will start a new tradition with Wednesday Utica rides starting at 12:30 PM. These rides will start October 11 and weather permitting go through March. Lee Rabideau will lead the first Wednesday ride on October 11. If you are interested in leading a Wednesday ride at 12:30 PM, contact Terry Eskuchen, Touring VP, at firstname.lastname@example.org
Save the date. Saturday October 21 – Frederick Pedalers club century, metric, and something shorter. The century will start at Utica Park. The metric will start in Emmitsburg. Details to follow.
Bicycle commuting has leveled off nationally, but some cities are still seeing growth such as Pittsburgh and Washington, DC. I used to commute by bike in Pittsburgh, and the potholes were killers. The last time that I visited Pittsburgh, I saw a significant improvements in the cycling infrastructure. The complete article is here.
