Pine Creek Ride

Lee Rabideau will be leading a ride (Pine Creek Ride) on October 3 and October 4, which will include a 60 mile ride each day.  Participants will leave Frederick on October 2, travel to Williamsport, PA where they will have dinner and spend the night at the Marriott Hotel.  On October 3 participants will travel to Jersey Shore, PA and then start biking at 9:00 AM.  The night again will be spent in an inn.  Biking will resume back to Jersey Shore, PA at 9:00 AM on October 4.  Arrival back in Frederick will be at 10:00 PM.  For more information contact Lee Rabideau at lrrabideau@comcast.net

Frederick Pedalers Annual Picnic – Saturday, August 19, 2017, 12:00 PM at Loy’s Station Park and Covered Bridge (3600 Old Frederick Road, Thurmont, MD 21788)

Our pre-picnic rides are:  C and CC starting at 9:00 AM and D starting at 10:00 AM

All members, their families and guests are welcome to attend the picnic.

  • Frederick Pedalers will provide water, hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, chips and a garden salad.
  • Members are invited to bring deserts and / or soft drinks
  • We would like to have an accurate accounting of those planning to attend in order to aid in preparing for the picnic.  If you are planning to attend, please forward the number coming,including the number preferring veggie burgers for lunch, to secy.frederickpedalers@gmail.com

Hills and Pacelines

When: Every Tuesday starting May 2, 2017

Where: Starting July 25, the start will be at Lewistown Elementary School

Length: 27 – 30 miles at a B pace

Ride Description: Hills and Pacelines returns again this year.   This ride will be 27 miles – 30 miles.  There will be several regrouping points; those in attendance are encouraged to ride as a team – until the last mile when all bets are off.

C & O Canal Ride – Snyders Landing to Williamsport

When:  Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 9:30 AM

Where:  Snyders Landing is located on Snyders Landing Road.  In Sharpsburg turn onto North Potomac Street.  Then turn left on Chapline Street, which turns into Snyders Landing Road.  Allow 45 minutes to reach Snyders Landing from Frederick.

Length:  47 miles with a lunch break in Williamsport at the Desert Rose.  Return at 3:30 PM to Synders Landing.
