Crofton – Shady Side Loop

When: Saturday, August 8, 2015, 9:00 AM

Where: Crofton Middle School, Crofton, MD

Length: 50+ miles, C pace

Leader: Glenn Angus, 410-551-5083 / ironbikr@gmail.com

Ride Description: This ride will leave Crofton Middle School, and will wander south and east into the horse and farm country of Anne Arundel County , and will eventually arrive at the community park in Idylwilde, in Shady Side, MD, a fishing village in the Chesapeake Bay.  This lovely shaded park offers splendid views of both Kent Island across the Bay, and of the Bay Bridge itself.  There are no challenging hills, but there are some gradual climbs. The peace of the region is soothing. Lunch will be available for purchase about 5-6 miles before the Idylwilde Park.

I will be sending cue sheets via email, and will bring a few along for the ride.

I hope to enjoy this ride with you all.

Recovery Ride

When: Saturday, July 18, 2015 8:30 AM

Where: Woodsboro Community Park

Length: 43.2 miles at a C pace

Leader: Glenn Angus ironbikr@gmail.com / 410-551-5083

Ride Description:

Some of us have been out of cycling for a while due to medical issues.  And now, we are back in the saddle, and are rarin’ to go.  This ride is a celebration of our return, and is a chance to enjoy a relaxing, yet partly challenging ride, and to enjoy the company of good friends.

This ride includes a lovely trip into the past, as we gently glide down Bennie Duncan Road, and enjoy the area’s 3 covered bridges.  A lunch/rest stop is planned for the visitor’s center at Cunningham Falls State Park [off US-15].  We get a wide variety of terrain, with no super-difficult hills.

Come on out and join us.

The cue sheet is posted in the Club Archives for those starting at Wooodsboro Comm. Park.  Please bring some along.
