Recurring Rides
Wednesdays 9:00 am B+ 35-50 Wheel Base
Wednesday AM Road Ride
This is a mid-week ride that starts at the Wheel Base bike shop in Frederick.
Contact the shop in advance for more information.

Wednesdays 6:15 pm C 15-30 Utica District Park
Utica Wednesdays
This is one of the club's most popular rides, attracting a diverse group of cyclists. We'll try some new
routes along with the old favorites on this easy mid-week spin where new riders are always
welcome. This is a social ride and no one will be left behind. If needed we will regroup
periodically or split into two groups when feasible. Usually no go in rain and ride leader
duties may alternate through the season so some weeks may be impromptu.
Sundays 8:00 am A/B 35-50 Wheel Base
The Sunday Morning Road Ride
The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks
into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes
if it is not too windy and the roads are dry.
Contact the shop in advance for more information.

Non-Recurring Rides
Jul 4 (Fri) 8:30 am B/C 40/50/60
Libertytown Park
3 Unions & A Windsor
This is a great rolling ride in the eastern side of the county and into
Carroll County. Pick your distance; there are three cue sheets — that's right
— something for everybody. Ride leader will ride either the 40 or the 50 mile version.
Jul 6 (Sun) 6:00 pm C 25-30
Monocacy Middle School
Semi-Regular Sunday Evening Summer Road Ride
If you go to church on Sunday morning or just want to sleep in one day a week,
consider ending your weekend with a ride in the evening when the risk of sunburn
is reduced. The atmosphere will be casual and friendly, much like the Wednesday evening rides.
Jul 12 (Sat) 8:45 am C+ 62
Van Bokkelin Elementary School - Severn, MD
BWI, Annapolis & Back
This is probably the flattest metric century anyone will ever ride in Maryland. Yes,
there are a few hills, but nothing major or difficult. This ride follows the BWI Trail
around BWI Marshall Airport, then heads SE to Annapolis via the Baltimore and Annapolis
Trail. The possibility of lunch in any one of the many restaurants in Annapolis (seafood
lovers should have a field day). Then back to BWI and home.
Jul 13 (Sun) 9:00 am D 26
Point of Rocks RR Station
Canal Ride
Dust off your hybrid, cyclocross or mountain bike and
join us for a shady spin along the C&O canal from
Point of Rocks to Harper’s Ferry and back. Probably
the flattest club ride of the year, we will stop and
cross the river (bridge or water, your choice…) into
town in search of ice cream and snacks to be enjoyed
on the scenic shores of the Potomac/Shenandoah.
Nearly impossible to be dropped since the ride is
linear; we will find you on our way back and take you
home. Cue sheet provided upon request.
Jul 19 (Sat) 9:00 am B/C 35 & 10:30 am D 15
Picnic Rides
Join us for either a 15-mile D ride beginning at 10:30 am or a 35-mile B/C ride
beginning at 9:00 am — before the club picnic. Details can be found in the club newsletter.
Jul 26 (Sat) 8:35 am C 37 Glade Elementary School
37 Miler from the 2003 FredPed Century Route
This ride has been re-scheduled to August due to a conflict with the previously
scheduled Adopt-A-Road pickup. Sorry for any inconvenience.
