Recurring Rides

Wednesdays 9:00 am B+ 35-50 Wheel Base
Wednesday AM Road Ride
This is a mid-week ride that starts at the Wheel Base bike shop in Frederick.

Wednesdays 6:15 pm C 15-30 Utica District Park
Utica Wednesdays
This is one of the club's most popular rides, attracting a diverse group of cyclists. We'll try some new routes along with the old favorites on this easy mid-week spin where new riders are always welcome. This is a social ride and no one will be left behind. If needed we will regroup periodically or split into two groups when feasible. Usually no go in rain and ride leader duties may alternate through the season so some weeks may be impromptu.

The Sunday Morning Road Ride
The entire group stays together for about an hour then usually breaks into two smaller groups, a faster ride and a slower ride. Ride goes if it is not too windy and the roads are dry. Contact the shop in advance for more information.

Non-Recurring Rides

Jun 8 (Sun) 8:30 am B/C 36 Orchard Grove Elementary School
Jefferson-Adamstown-Buckeystown
Despite what you may have thought, you can ride a bike in Frederick County south of the city. We will start inside the city limits at Orchard Grove and wander south on country roads until we get to Jefferson where we turn east and head to Adamstown, then continue east going around Buckeystown before heading back. There are three noticeable climbs on this ride that C riders should be able to handle with some effort. Great views and the rides down the other side make the effort worthwhile. Lots of flat riding in between to give you time to recover.

Jun 14 (Sat) 10:00 am C/D+ 15 Lewistown Elementary School
Easy Ride
This is an easy ride in the area east of Route 15. There are no difficult hills and most of the ride is fairly flat. We will rest as needed and at all turns. As always, no one will ever be left behind.

Jun 21 (Sat) 9:00 am C 49 Whittier Elementary School
Approximately a Straight Shot to Emmitsburg
(Or, observe as the ride leader closes her eyes and picks a route from the list of available cue sheets…) Come join us for a postsolstice spin through the lovely rolling hills of Frederick County. One planned rest stop approximately half-way through the ride; we'll stop as desired by half of the group as the other half zips ahead. We will ride as a loosely defined cluster, no one will be abandoned. It will be fun, honestly.

Jun 29 (Sun) 8:45 am C+/B- 32 Taneytown Memorial Park
Littlestown Breakfast
Join us for an 11-mile ride to Dutterer's for breakfast, followed by a 21-mile return trip for a total of 32 miles. This is a repeat of the ride we did last January—we guarantee that it will be warmer today. Fairly flat; only 1,000 feet elevation gain. The leaders will be on a tandem.
